GET THE LOOK

Last night I made the long trek to the Serenbe Designer Showhouse [it's showhouse city around here] and Lordy it did not disappoint!

I took a gazillion pictures which all have to be downloaded from my phone and straightened so hopefully I can share them on Tuesday.  Y'all there was quite a bit of black and white so you know I was just plain giddy:)

Since I can't stop thinking about this bedroom from the Cashiers showhouse I thought I would pull together some items so you can get the look!

Here is the thing...... this look.....it's full of texture and very tonal.

lamp this lamp from Crate and Barrel is perfect!

All you need are some tree branches!

So the bed.....get some reclaimed wood and put it on the ceiling:)

I found this at Home Depot

The look....

Adding the metal [mirror] wood [bed] and the chunky rug help to give this space plenty of texture....

I kind of want to do this room somewhere:)

Here are a few other pillows I found to help you out....

One last thing....I was at Rejuvenation yesterday to pick up these brackets

And saw this green couch!
Swoon......

What's up for you this weekend?

I might go to the Lakewood flea market or clean out my guest bedroom [which is full of stuff that I don't know what to do with] [probably not though].

Maybe try and figure out why nothing I put on Poshmark has sold when everyone said it was so easy.....

Or....maybe I will just love on Cami all weekend:)
God....that face just melts me.

BOULDER PROJECT #FIELDCOURT

I hope everyone had a swell Easter!  My husband left to go to the beach.....ahhh the life of retirement:)

So I got busy cleaning out the pantry and fridge....checking dates and if it was even close to the expiration day it was gone.

Then.....
I hit up our office.  Yup I was on a roll and 5 hours later it's finally looking pretty good.

Damn I feel free.

Guess where I'm going on Thursday?

Nope....not the beach but Highpoint!

My first time and I'm so worried about my feet. You know how everyone scares you about all the walking so my challenge is looking cute [which is hard to do when you're old]  AND wearing sensible shoes.

Everybody I'm going with is 20 years younger than I am so I guess I will be drinking Monster Energy drinks like water to keep up.

If you can believe it.....while I was in Boulder I did check on my #fieldcourt project.  Just needed to make sure the lights, tile and vanities were all ordered!

Let's start with the small powder room.....

We decided to just run hardwoods in there since it is really tiny.  We ordered the Schumacher wallpaper to make big impact since you can see it from the foyer.  The light fixture can be found here

Moving on to the bonus room bath which is almost smaller!

Before.....

Plan.....

The tile is from Home Depot.  The light fixture is from West Elm [although I can't find it on the site anymore].

This is the hall bath shared by 2 bedrooms.

And here is the plan

So excited about this tile also found on HD site.
The vanity is from Signature Hardware  The mirror is from Lamps Plus

In fact....hubba hubba to all of these tiles chosen for this space.

To refresh....here is the master before

Plan.....

The vanity is from Joss and Main

I am so excited to see this project come together:)

Do you have a favorite?

ATLANTA HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS SHOWHOUSE

What a week.....well actually what a day yesterday!  Hair appointment at 8:30, Showhouse preview at 10, curtain install at 11:30....which had a few hiccups...

Hop over to ADAC for some last minute preparations for presentation on Sat....then home to get ready for a 2 hour presentation at 7:00 pm on design.

I got home at 9:30 and was starving!  Since there was nothing in my house but condiments I threw together what my friend Erika Ward calls a #strugglemeal

Cheese toast with Tobasco sprinkled on it for a little taste.

Which brings me to my next subject.  I was invited, along with my friend Lisa Mowry, to judge a cooking contest at Design Galleria which is an annual event and apparently quite competitive.  Yes..... it makes sense that people who design kitchens would be all about food right?

Me on the other hand..... with a fridge full of nothing......well that decision will leave you scratching your head.

This years ingredient was cocoa.  The judging was on taste which was 1-15 points, presentation 1-5 points and creativity 1-5 points.

Below is Lisa's take on the event!
So Lisa and Matthew Quinn both picked the Mint Chocolate Wonton as the winner!  Like hands down!  Obviously their taste is a little more sophisticated that mine as I went straight for the comfort food which was White Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding.  I based my selection on this criteria....."what would I break my diet for"!

I'm not feeling an invitation for next year unless I up my food game.  Just saying.

And for your Friday pleasure here are some of my images from the Atlanta Home For The Holidays Showhouse!
