THIS AND THAT

Hey y'all......what a week!  We decided to try and go to Florida tomorrow since our condo is vacant and you know what that means......nope.....I am not putting on a bathing suit silly people.

It means I had to get a shit ton completed this week.  I packed in 8000 client meetings....a presentation and today hopefully I will get all my paperwork done.

Boom.

So let's recap.

Had a meeting with my first One Room Challenge client! They are moving to a new house and we are ordering a few things in preparation for that!

I did this back in 2012 and for real she has not changed one thing!

My kind of client:)

I also had coffee with artist and blogger Blayne Beacham Macauley.  I am doing a room in the Atlanta Magazine Home showhouse down in Pinewood Forrest [yes it has 2 r's] and she and I are collaborating on a piece of art for my space!  She was the sweetest and we had a great talk.....

I love her range.....

Look at this awesome piece she installed in one of Melanie Turners projects!

In Atlanta you can see her art at Anne Irwin Fine Art on Miami Circle or get in touch with her!

She knew better than to ask me what my colors were:)

Here was the groundbreaking....

I have been busy scratching my head to figure out what to do as I actually have the tower which is basically 2 spaces!  Ugh.....

We will see if I can pull this off.

I spent a lot of time at ADAC looking for fabrics to complete my presentation and ran across this wall treatment!

You know that appealed to my texture....organic addiction!

I also stopped by a project to see some of the tile applications....

And if you missed this on Instagram....there is some good stuff happening over at Target!

It might not appear I did that much but there was a lot of trivial crap that happened....you know behind the scenes stuff like curtain install gone wrong.....etc.  Ah....the joys of design!

So we are going to get one of those epic Atlanta spring weekends with temps in the 70's.  Hopefully the weather will be good at the beach:)

THIS AND THAT

Sorry I "ghosted" Last Friday....I was leaving for Chicago and try as I might just couldn't gather my thoughts to pull together a post:)

Speaking of Chicago......I was with my sister and we were going up for my nephews baby shower........but our flight was delayed 5 hours due to a snowstorm.

I wrote this after about 4 hours....ha ha

We got to the airport at 9:30 and the flight finally left at 4:40.....needless to say it was a long day.

3 things I think Delta could do to make delays more fun....have someone to give neck massages, maybe a mani-pedi station....and the best thing would be a puppy room where you can just pet and play with them.....everybody knows puppies reduce stress!

But oh so worth it!  The first grandchild in our family will be here in late March.

They had the event at The Dunham Woods Riding Club and the decor was amazing!  Hopefully you saw some of my instastories.

The walls and this frame....right?

They are having a boy!

Who knew I loved gummy bears so much......

And of course it isn't a news flash that I can put away some cupcakes.....

This is my niece and nephew....so cute right?  She works for Knoll in NYC.  I was amazed when she told me that she uses Rent The Runway weekly for all her clothes.  She explained that she has not bought any clothes in forever and no dry-cleaning bills!

Before I left I delivered this pillow with this gorgeous Scalamandre trim.

This office is coming along....Thibaut wallpaper and Circa Lighting pendant.  If you look carefully the ceiling is high gloss white!

I started working on this plan.....look at me doing color!

I thought I would be tired of my dark walls by now but I'm not!

Neither is Cami!

And I found out that Florance Knoll had a sheepdog:)

I discovered these new wallpapers by Thibaut...

They look like wood!

And I started this book which is excellent....

OK....I think you are all caught up on my life.....haha

DESIGN PLAN PART 2

I'm sitting here in a dither trying to decide what to write about today.  Here's the  problem.... I am in the middle of so many projects but I feel like showing you bare drywall and unfinished spaces is pretty lame.

But.....it's looking like this might be the case plus if I answer a few questions then all might be forgiven.....maybe?

The wood dresser in the post "Design Plan" is from the Hooker Skyline collection.  The rug is from Silver Creek.

I do have a few other details [on this same project] to share so I will try to keep it interesting.....:)

The master bath room before.... with that gorgeous view of the river but clearly outdated.

Took down the wallpaper and added trim!

Giving a space some architectural details is always a good idea!

Painted the vanity BM White Dove

Whoa....slight game changer.... plus new hardware!

Also if you look at the before picture there are sconces which we are replacing with these from Circa Lighting.

Trying to bring the glamour back!

Back to the bedroom.....against this back wall is the seating area....

Here are the fabrics.....

The sofa and 2 chairs were previously in the LR
A pretty gray blue velvet for the sofa and the chair fabric is actually a cream color [shown like that so you can see the pattern]

And opposite of the seating area on the other side of the bed.....a chaise from CR Laine with a Kravet performance fabric on it.....you know the singing and dancing fabric:)....haha  And the Bungalow 5 white textured dresser.
So lots of blues and creams.....

Sheer linen curtains with this pretty trim on it....
I mentioned before that the ceilings were painted BM Glass Slipper and the walls are BM White Dove.

Here is an almost finished picture of the bedroom entry....light fixture goes in today....door knobs soon!  I still can't get over how much better the plain doors look with the added trim.

It has been a long time since I have done a pretty traditional room like this!  Hopefully I can hold off any more pictures until it is finished.

I'm sure all 10 of you are yawning by now.....tis the season I guess:)
